Newport: 100 Years

Newport is celebrating 100 years of photography at the University with a massive exhibition later this year. They have asked graduates to submit work which will profile the University's influence on the world of the photography since the establishment of the renowned Documentary Photography course in 1973 by David Hurn. I was lucky enough to be a graduate of this course in 2004 and some of my work will feature as part of this show which opens in October in Newport. The website is well worth a look as it profiles some great photographers who went through the course over the years.

Gallery of Photography is collaborating with THREAD magazine to present its first ever exhibition devoted to fashion photography. The exhibition features exciting work by a new generation of photographers all of whom take a fluid approach to their practice, merging their personal subjective work with a range of other creative art forms...

From Beyond the Grave... Mongrel Magazine 2007

Just found these too... from a feature for the now defunct Mongrel Magazine back in the day, which involved myself and Donny Mahoney hanging out with these lads in a graveyard. Dont really know how it happened but I found myself lying in a freshly dug grave to get the first shot, sends a bit of a chill down the spine... (It was the graveyard where Phil Lynott is buried in Sutton).

Kilkenny Nov 2011

Just cleaning out some hard drives and I keep stumbling across stuff I shoot and never do anything with, there is loads, so I thought I would post some up here. This is Kilkenny last year, playing a session in Billy Byrne's pub with my brother Jim and portraits of his two daughters Roisin & Meabh.
